Bacon and Mushroom sandwich was good and Bacon, Brie and Cranberry sandwich was average. Latte was not from a machine not freshly made, so not that good. Although the food was acceptable, the surprise came when my wife paid the bill, which came to circa £28. Please tell me there has been an error, as when my wife challenged the price the man serving cited that ‘we were in Morpeth now and the cost of hand sanitizer’ - really! If I had been inside the cafe at this point I would not have accepted the cost or comment. I ask the question again - was the bill correct? Lesson learned and we will not be revisiting anytime soon. Understand that local businesses have suffered, but extortion post pandemic is not the way to entice the public back!July 10, 2020
